Now Open: Syrup Breakfast Boutique in Norman
9/11: I finally got the chance to try Syrup Breakfast Boutique! I didn’t bring my setup to do a full review as they just opened a week ago. I wanted to give them an opportunity to iron out any kinks before doing a review, but I didn’t see a single flaw during today’s visit.
I had the Stuffed Frittata and it was really good. The bacon in the frittata was a thick-slab bacon and I loved the chewy homestyle potatoes baked into it. The Tillamook cheddar cheese was especially gooey and stringy! My friend, PJ, had the Crunchy French Toast. She said the corn flake crust was a fun twist on the traditional plate and the strawberries that topped her meal were very sweet and fresh. Our service was great and the restaurant was full the entire time. We ran into my dear old friend Barry Switzer while we were there, so just know – if it’s good enough for The King, it’s good enough for you. Here’s the menu!

9/4: Syrup is NOW OPEN! I’ve seen people asking to see their online menu on their Facebook page, and they don’t have one yet so I am going to get over to Syrup and try to snap some photos of it ASAP. Can’t wait to try it!

7/24: I got in touch with Arian Perry, the Business Manager at Syrup Breakfast Boutique in Norman, and here’s what she had to say:
“We are a full-service breakfast boutique that will offer high-quality food and coffee products. The unique recipes we’ve acquired from around the world will turn the standard breakfast into a signature dish. Our hope is to provide Norman with a trademark breakfast restaurant that will envelop what the city represents — a quaint, hospitable, and specialized breakfast experience.”
She also told me they are still working out a grand opening date, but are shooting for the end of August (give ‘em until September, people!). They have posted a few construction photos on their Facebook page, so go give them some love and check out what they’re doing. By the way, I LOVE the hardwood wall.

7/13: I can’t wait to check out this little sweet spot! I couldn’t find any information about the opening or the concept online, but I am very intrigued by the naming choice… A breakfast boutique…
Syrup is situated between Peters and Jones on the north side of Main Street in downtown Norman, right next to The Abner Ale House. Main Street really has it going on these days.
